Ride: Melbourne To Sydney
Hello, my name is Ruby, and I have never ridden more than 5km in my life.
Yet here I am, declaring my allegiance to a 1,000km cycling journey from Sydney to Brisbane. Why? Because I realised I wasn’t doing enough to make this world a better place. Instead, I was spending my time on pointless things like uploading an Instagram or clicking ‘Home’ on Facebook for the thousandth time.
Throughout the bike ride, a team of us will be delivering health promotion programs to local communities. Currently, 62.8% of Aussies over the age of 18 are overweight. We’re trying to make a positive impact in any way we can in this space.
We’re also raising funds for the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC). The world-leading doctors, researchers, scientists, clinicians, and nurses at VCCC will use our funds to support cancer research, education, and patient care. You’ve heard the saying ‘every dollar counts’, but I’m going to say it here anyway because it’s true.
Every dollar counts.
Huge thanks in advance for your generosity and for supporting such a worthy cause!
