Ride: Melbourne To Sydney
My name is Jeanine, I’m 23 years old and currently in my first year of the Master of Public Health at The University of Melbourne.
Those of you who know me will know that I’m a bit of a #diva and I’m by no means sporty- I can’t catch, kick, throw, or hit a ball to save my life. However, I’ve decided to do the Steer North ride because a) it requires no hand-eye co-ordination and, b) the cause is one that is very very close to my heart.
The cycle is 1000km’s from Melbourne to Sydney and, along the way, we stop in local communities and conduct health promotion workshops- a cause that is so important and one of the main reasons I got into Public Health.
All the funds raised go towards funding Cancer research at the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre- having spent last year in a research lab, I know how important funding is and how hard it is to come by.
Any donation, small or large, would be massively appreciated 🙂
