Ride: Melbourne To Sydney
My next adventure is riding my bicycle from Melbourne to Sydney. That’s over 1,000 km ride in 13 days. This time I would like to give a purpose and meaning to my experience.
I’m doing it to raise funds for cancer research, education and patient care. I’ve pledge to raise $3,500, which will benefit the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC).
Who inspired me?
Jeremy Scott. I met Jeremy at a local travel expo. He told me about his bicycle ride from London to his home in New Zealand, raising money for various heart foundations because he had Open Heart Surgery as a 4 year old boy.
Rita Nehme. I met Rita at salsa dancing. She told me about her participation in Texas 4000 For Cancer – the longest annual charity bike ride in the world. She rode from Texas to Alaska in 2014. She has co founded Steer North in Australia which is the Not For Profit Organisation hosting the program.
How can you help?
It’s my first time fundraising. Please be part of the journey and help by any means whether by donation, fundraising, spreading the word or by wishing me good luck. Every dollar counts. Thanks for your generosity.
